Transforming a Dining Room with Apartment Therapy Media and Home Depot

Designing a space that resonates with warmth and style is a thrilling challenge, especially when collaborating with Apartment Therapy Media and tapping into the vast catalog of The Home Depot products. This was the 3rd of a series of style swap projects we've worked on for the brand this year.

Most recently, my team and I had the pleasure of working with Tania in her charming home in Hinsdale, Illinois, to create a dining room that would become the heart of family gatherings. Our goal was to showcase the versatility of The Home Depot’s offerings through three distinct design swaps: Cottagecore, Mid-Century Modern, and Palm Beach.

We curated a mood board and floor plan featuring timeless elements like a textured area rug, a classic wooden dining table that comfortably seats eight, and an elegant yet understated chandelier. These elements are designed to harmonize with the light-filled space accentuated by large windows on two sides, framing a stunning view of the couple's lush green backyard.

Partnering with The Home Depot allowed us to explore an extensive range of design possibilities, resulting in a dining room that beautifully embodies Tania’s personality and lifestyle. What I loved most about this project was how Tania personalized each hand-selected piece once the photoshoot was complete by thoughtfully placing them throughout her home in the areas that meant the most to her.
